Fine Art Belfast Print
Rows of Belfast black taxis are parked at the rank at the top of Castle street (before its location changed slightly).
The spires of St. Peter’s cathedral are apparent in the background. So too is the Black Mountain.
This is an expressively painted study and detail is suggestive, fresh and natural.
Prussian blues mixed with Vandyke brown makes up most of the palette. This contrasts with tiny flashes of yellow that represent the taxis’ registration plates.
This print works wonderfully alone or as part of Una’s other black taxi series.

Please note, these are approximate sizes. The final size of the print will depend on the aspect ratio and size of the original painting. Not all prints are available in all sizes. The available sizes can be found in the “Size” dropdown above.
Delivery charges will added at checkout, and are calculated according to shipping address. Large prints (A0, A1, A2) are shipped rolled in strong-walled postal tubes. Small prints (A3, A4) are shipped strong cardboard flat envelopes. Originals are carefully boxed & packaged. A tracking number is emailed to the customer at time of posting. Taxis At Milfield
‘Taxis At Milfield’ is a memory from my days attending Ulster University’s Art College on York Street.
I often walked past this taxi rank at the top of Castle Street on my way to get the bus up the Antrim road and home.
I loved this part of the inner-city for its atmosphere and energy.
The banter between the taxi men, the shouting and laughing and slagging.
The buzz of shoppers arriving in town or queuing to get home again – everyone of them with their own little story going on.
