Una O'Grady was born in North Belfast in 1976 and graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in Fine Art. She is well known for her paintings of Belfast and the Irish landscape.
Finger-painting or with a palette knife, Una excavates on canvas. She has a very fresh and seemingly effortless approach to painting. Her bold style is full of movement and immediacy and her use of daring colour and perspective is typical of this unique style.
She has exhibited in the Royal Ulster Academy, achieving a special award there in 2001. Una has had numerous successful solo shows and her work is included in many collections including the U.T.V, Queens University, B.B.C Archive and Northern Bank Collections
